Fun photo day

Today, yes i'm actually posting the same day we had some fun photo ops - Yes, I really did Ains hair with rollers, and it turned out cute. We tried to get a good one of her in the boots, but it took me so long to get the camera she was ready to get out of them by then.

Fun at Joe's

Ainsleigh can find fun anywhere - even at GI Joe's. If there's a bike, she wants to try to ride it, and if there are "hats" (helmets) nearby, she must put one on first - the onto the bike. She is definetily entertaining.

Roloff Farms

Michelle had always wanted to go to the Roloff Farms (Little People Big World). She tried to go with her friends on a Saturday, but it was super crazy - so we went one Friday when I was off and had a blast - it's really amazing all the fun things they've built. Ainsleigh mostly liked the tiny pumpkins and the mud!

Sunday afternoon fun

One October Sunday Ainsleigh decided she wanted to run around after church instead of going into the house. I saw it as an opportunity to take pictures in some good clothes, instead of the usual comfy around the house clothes with food spilled on them norm. Here's my favorite shots.

videos, videos, videos

So, I haven't put any videos on in a while, so i'll try to do some catching up today. I have to say forgive the singing in some, but you know little kids don't care what you sound like if you're singing their song.

Itsy-bitsy Spider

Wheels on the Bus

slow-dancing (still spinning to dizziness)

Trunk or Treat at the church

At the counter, eating popcorn - two favorite past times. You also get to hear how she says "Ainsleigh" - it's pretty quick, so listen closely.

Riding on the garage sale find horse - she loves it!!

Dancing in the sand at the Sandcastle competition in August.

Going down the slide at the park by our house - she has since mastered going down forward, and now once again will hardly go down without someone holding on to her. August 2007.

Practing stop and go in sign language, and showing her "strong girl muscles" - this one is a must see - Sandy, I think this is the best one I have of strong girl.

Just showing off new skills & sounds for the camera. July 2007

The latest and greatest...

So, I know mostly I just post photos and stuff about Ainsleigh. Here's a bit of what's been happening with all of us, Ainsleigh too of course!! I just got resigned with another contract at Salem Hospital, through the 1st week of January. I suppose eventually I may go full time, but for now the traveler thing is working out for all. I continue as Mia Maid teacher at church, and it's pretty good. It's kind of a bummer that I don't get to go to Wed. activities, because I don't feel like I know the girls as well. Otherwise i'm just playing with Ainsleigh, keeping up with the house (never really been my strong point), and trying to fit in time for me and my projects. I enjoy sewing a little, and keep saying i'm going to start my scrapbooking. I'm a lot closer to it, just still haven't actually done a page. Brody is working really hard, tons of hours because they're super busy at work. He took his mid-term last night for his very last class. In December we'll be going to Florida for his graduation with his Bachelor's degree in Business (??Management) from UF. He is Elder's Quorum president at church, and has a great presidency to work with. Ainsleigh is learning new things everyday. Last week she started answering when you ask her name, she says "Ainlee". It's very cute, and has gotten more and more energetic - I think she's proud that she knows it. Yesterday she even answered someone when they asked me her name. Monday she started saying prayers. We have to help her, obviously. Sometimes she makes it through the entire prayer great and sometimes she starts saying hi to everyone and playing before we get done. But, she loves the opportunity and it's not uncommon to have to say 3-4 breakfast or lunch prayers and 2 night time prayers. She also repeats everything we say - it's amazing how fast her vocabulary is growing. She can physically do more and more everyday. Michelle has decided it's time to move on to other endeavors. Next month she'll be moving to Salt Lake City to live with her sister there. We will sorely miss her (i'm sure Ainsleigh will the most), but are completely supportive of her decision. She has been an enormous blessing in our lives, always having things work out when we needed them the most. With her moving, we are in the process of finding another daycare for Ainsleigh. It's pretty stressful for me, trying to decide. There's the big debate between in home vs daycare center. I have a few weeks to decide, but I think the sooner I do the less stressful it will be. Well, I best be going, don't want to make this too long. Please continue to comment on stuff - I love to actually know people are looking at these, and it's at least a short simple way to communicate in our crazy lives. Take care! :)

Happy mornings

Ainsleigh is generally happy all the time, but this morinng was a particularly good one - so I thought I would share some happy faces with all. The last one just cracks me up, it's so her - mid sentence smiling, eyes closed, she's probably laughing and talking all at the same time.

Backyard climber

One day... Ainsleigh climbed up one step on the back wall/fence in our backyard. Michelle went into the house (like 8 steps) to get the camera, and when she came back out, Ainsleigh was ON TOP OF THE WALL!!! She made her only go one step up after that, and she luckily forgot about her ability to do it within a few days, but it never ceases to amaze you how fast they learn to do new things. And with Ainsleigh's whole lack of fear, that seems to come faster.

fun times with Nana Loi

Nana Loi came to visit and take care of Ainsleigh while Michelle visited her family in Florida. While my mom was here we took a few pictures to have new ones for Ainsleigh's wall. I am continually working on decorating it more, and the latest is pictures are of her and parents, Michelle, and grandparents. She loves to look at the pictures, and often hugs and kisses them as well. Here's my favorite shots from the photos with Nana Loi. As I have the opportunity to, i'll be doing updated pictures with everyone, hopefully cousins too. I'll also take and post some pictures of her room as I get it done.

tupperware drawer

Lately, Ainsleigh likes to climb into cupboards, drawers, etc. Sometimes that means she has to empty it out first. The tupperware drawer is her favorite for empyting. When she does, you can't stand nearby because plastic-ware is flying!!

"SYIDE"

A few weeks ago we bought Ainsleigh a slide, she loves it. She has always loved being outside - now she has even more to do in our backyard. Now that it appears the rain is setting in, I think we will move it indoors, she's so active I think it will be nice to have a playground like thing to do indoors.

Make-up fun time

Twice recently Ainsleigh was able to get into some make-up. The first time we didn't think she would know what to do with it - but she knew it went on her eyes. Then, she got ahold of eyeliner. We finally had to get her her very own make-up, we still have to be careful, but it's much less messy.

Awesome summer activity

During the summer we went camping with some friends from our ward, the Forreys. We were hoping to go again before the end of the summer, but after Brody hurt his toe we had to wait until it healed enough, then kinda ran out of time. We still might try to go stay in yurts somewhere, but anyways - we had a blast. We stayed at Detroit Lake. The kids loved being outside so much, having others to play with, and loved the thought of sleeping in a tent - until we actually had to do it. After being in Florida for so long, we forgot how cold it gets in the mountains and didn't take near enough blankets, so we huddled very close together to stay warm enough to sleep - we'll remember for next time!!

??? chicken pox???

I guess it was about a month ago we thought Ainsleigh might have chicken pox. It flared up Friday, and by Monday was completely gone. We're still not sure what it was, maybe just a rash reaction to a viral bug. It didn't bother her, she slept a little more, but was going strong the rest of the time, but she looked terrible. Here's a few shots of her loveliness.

Eat anything

Ainsleigh will try anything to eat, and likes most of it. A while ago I was visiting my family in So Oregon and we went to a mexican restaurant, Ainsleigh was eating salsa out of the bowl with a fork, and just kept going back for more - crazy girl.

tube time fun

We had a few fun days playing with these tubes, lots of ring toss, Ains being what we tossed the rings onto. Either way, she laughed a lot, and loved being the center of attention, literally.

our favorite sandcastles

Lincoln City Sandcastle Competition

A few weeks ago Michelle, Ains, and I went to the Lincoln City Sandcastle Competition. the castles were cool, the sand was warm, and it was so much fun to see how Ains reacted to it. Mostly she swam in the sand, but I think she just loved feeling something deifferent on her skin.
